  Position Description:

  Morgan Stanley is looking to recruit an Editorial assistant to help coordinate workflow and provide administrative support to the Editorial team, which publishes a wide variety of Research Reports out of the Asia/Pacific region.
  The candidate would be required to monitor the research pipelines daily and keep them current by screening incoming emails, telephone calls and enquiries from analysts. Liaising with editors/publishing, analysts and the morning meeting team, the candidate would need to understand how the Research process works and what`s important to clients, and then work with the editorial manager to assign priorities within the workflow. In addition, the candidate would be required to prepare documents and presentations using MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel; update team rosters and analyst lists; assist with updates to the Editorial Homepage and Research internet, and perform ad hoc duties as required.

  Skills Required:
  • 5-6 years working experience. Investment Banking experience preferred but not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; some experience with building web pages an advantage
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills; an ability to develop good working relationship with the editors, analyst teams, key people in management and the morning meeting team, as well as key people globally
  • Mature, responsive and reliable attitude; a willingness to take on more varied duties as the role evolves
  • Highly detail oriented, and an ability to prioritize quickly
  • Proactive approach to work; an ability to understand or find out what people need to know and an eye to suggesting refinements to the workflow process to increase efficiency
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to multi-task
